What are custom product pages?

Apple’s feature in short, and where to read the full guide.

ExplanationUpdated

A custom product page is an extra version of your App Store page for the same app. Its screenshots, app previews and promotional text can differ from your default page; the name, icon, subtitle, description, price, ratings and reviews stay the same. Apple allows up to 70 per app, and reviews each one on its own. The complete guide to custom product pages covers the feature in full; this article is the short version.

Why they exist

Everyone who finds your app today sees the same screenshots, whatever they searched for. A custom product page lets one searcher land on a page that leads with the thing they wanted, while your default page stays as it is for everyone else.

How many to make

Seventy is a ceiling, not a target. The right number for your app is the number of distinct keyword groups and use cases it serves: one page for each search you already appear for, each reason people download, and each channel or campaign you run, made in the order of the traffic behind them. How many custom product pages does your app need? explains how to choose, and the help article applies it in Pagefully.

What this means for you in Pagefully

  • Each card on Intents is one custom product page, with its reason and its keywords. See Plan your pages.
  • Pagefully draws the screenshots and writes the promotional text from your app’s real screens, and never touches your default page.
  • Sending a page puts it in App Store Connect, unsubmitted. You submit it for Apple’s review there, and assign its keywords there. See Submit a page for review.
  • A page with no keyword is for Apple Ads and links, and shows the pill Ads and links.
  • Free makes one page, the Pack ten, and Pro up to Apple’s 70. See Plans explained.
